FUEL SUBSIDY: NO PLAN TO SHUT DOWN BLACKBERRY SERVICES -- MTN

If you are on Blackberry, Facebook or Twitter, the odd is in favour of
you to have heard about the planned "Shutdown" in Blackberry services
in Nigeria, especially in Lagos, Abuja, Portharcourt and Kano.

However, in a statement released by MTN about an hour ago denies this
rumour and assures Blackberry subscribers on its network of an
uninterupted service.

The statement released is as shown below:

"MTN wishes to reassure all its subscribers, especially those in Lagos
that Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) has not been shut down.

In addition, we have not received any directive from any quarter to
shut down Blackberry services.

As the network of choice to over 41 million people in Nigeria, our
priority is to provide stable quality telecommunicati on services to
our customers. This will continue to be our focus for 2012.

Thank you."
